Built for a strong dog that needs a collar to match. Made from double-layer 1000D nylon with a soft padded lining, it sits firm without rubbing, and a solid metal buckle and D-ring hold up to a powerful pull. We chose black to keep things simple. The collar has a thick outer fabric, a padded inside and a metal buckle that is easy to inspect. It took a little fiddling to find the best setting, but the eyelets make it easy to return to that position. The broad shape suits our dog, though I would check the measurements carefully before choosing one for a slimmer neck.

The padding feels soft without making the collar look too bulky. I like the plain finish and the way the end of the strap tucks away.

There is a lot I like about the design, especially the wide band and the metal ring. The buckle is quite chunky, which suits our larger dog. I would suggest checking the neck measurement carefully rather than assuming the same size as an old collar.

K
Katie Rosendale

Pleased with the fit. The size chart helped.

R
Ravi Stonebridge

Thick fabric and a soft inner layer. Just the sort of simple design I was after.

Z

The padded lining feels comfortable to the touch. I also like the neat stitching around the edges.

I bought this style because I wanted a proper metal buckle. Both prongs are easy to check before we head out, and the lead ring is easy to reach. The collar does feel quite substantial, so measuring the neck and thinking about the width is worth the extra minute.

The collar looks good, but fastening it takes me a moment when our dog is eager to get outside. Once it is on, the strap sits neatly. I would choose this for the padding and metal hardware rather than for speed of putting it on.

A smart collar with a useful range of adjustment. No complicated fittings to work out.

The black colour matches our lead perfectly.

S
Samuel Reedham

Simple to fit and feels well put together.

F
Farah Denwick

The buckle feels sturdy and the holes are neatly finished. A practical design.

A little stiff when first handled, but the inside is soft. I like the shape of the collar and the plain colour. Would have liked a closer photo of the buckle before ordering.

I was between sizes and found measuring properly much more useful than guessing. The collar has a firm outer layer with softer padding underneath. The strap keeper helps keep everything tidy, and there is no long loose end hanging down on the setting we use.

I like the wide shape and the soft inside. It looks very smart on our dog.

A
Adam Cresswell

Good sized ring for attaching our lead.

The eyelets make it easy to use the same setting each time. I still check the fit before a walk, especially after brushing his coat.

Fits neatly once adjusted. Happy with the simple design.

Nice padding, although the overall collar is heavier than I expected. Worth bearing that in mind if you are used to a very light fabric collar.

We wanted a collar for our big dog that looked practical rather than flashy. The black fabric and dark hardware do the job. I took a bit of time getting both buckle prongs lined up on the first try, but it was straightforward after that. The padded inside is a welcome extra.

Lovely plain black collar. No fuss.

L

I like the metal D-ring and the wide band. The collar feels more substantial than the thin one we had before. It is a bit bulky in the hand, though, so it may not be everyone's choice.

E
Emily Norwood

The lining feels soft around the edges, which was what I noticed first. I also like that the strap end can be tucked away rather than sticking out.

M
Megan Darnell

I chose the medium after measuring our dog's neck rather than going by his weight alone. There was room to adjust it properly. Glad I checked the chart first.

H
Hassan Kingswell

The nylon has a thick, firm feel. It suits the plain look I wanted for our walking kit.

A
Aisha Fenwick

Easy to adjust once you find the right holes. The loose end sits neatly in the keeper.

T
Thomas Merrow

The padding is the best part for me.

J
James Bellhaven

Smart looking and nicely padded. The stitching looks neat too.

M
Michael Rowden

Quite a chunky collar, so do check the width will suit your dog. I like the padded lining, but I would prefer something lighter for a smaller dog.

R
Rachel Whitcombe

Our dog has a broad neck and narrow collars never look quite right on him. This wider style sits better. The buckle takes a little longer to fasten than a plastic clip, but I prefer being able to see that both prongs are through the holes.

D
Daniel Ashcombe

The metal buckle feels solid. I like having proper eyelets to set the fit.

H
Harriet Wrenford

Soft padding and a tidy fit. Looks smart in black.
